(SportsNetwork. Nicolas Batum Jersey .com) - The Pittsburgh Penguins will aim to eliminate the upstart Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday, as the clubs battle in Mondays Game 6 at Nationwide Arena. The Penguins, who are seeded second in the East, were tied at 2-2 with Columbus before gaining an edge in the best-of-seven series with Saturdays 3-1 victory in Pittsburgh. If Pittsburgh fails to wrap up the series tonight in Columbus, the clubs will play a decisive Game 7 in the Steel City on Wednesday. Columbus, which had never won a playoff contest before this series, has little margin for error in Game 6. Blue Jackets center Mark Letestu hopes facing elimination can bring the best out of his club. "I mean, if theyre going to push, what are we going to do?," Letestu said. "Its back in our building and our backs are against the wall. When there is adversity, this is the best that this team has played all year. I expect this first elimination game for everybody to play with their hair on fire." Columbus is 1-1 on home ice in this series, losing Game 3 to the Pens before rebounding with an overtime victory in the next encounter. The Blue Jackets are 1-3 all-time at Nationwide Arena in the postseason. The Blue Jackets had lost six straight home games against the Penguins before notching a victory in Game 4. Columbus and Pittsburgh were tied at 1-1 after 40 minutes on Saturday, but Jussi Jokinen scored the eventual game-winner at 6:16 of the third period. Kris Letang added an empty-netter with 1:01 left in regulation to seal the win for the Penguins and put them one victory away from advancing to the second round. After a rough outing in Game 4, Pens goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury bounced back by making 23 saves for the win. Chris Kunitz had a goal and an assist in the victory. Sidney Crosby added an assist to give him five helpers in the series, but he has yet to score a goal. After his club grabbed a 3-2 lead on Saturday, the Pens captain talked about the difficulty of closing out a series. "We have to realize theyre going to be as desperate as theyve been," Crosby said of tonights Game 6 battle. "It doesnt get any easier. We know the fourth one is the toughest." Crosbys teammate Evgeni Malkin also has yet to score over the first five games, but he has four assists. Boone Jenner scored the one goal for Columbus on Saturday, while Sergei Bobrovsky single-handedly kept his team in the game with a 48-save loss. "It was one of those performances where you come into an opposing rink, thats a game that your goaltender can steal for you," Columbus head coach Todd Richards said. "We just werent able to do enough in the offensive zone." Columbus defensemen Fedor Tyutin and Ryan Murray each returned to the lineup after missing time with lower-body injuries. Tyutin missed the previous two games, while Murray was held out of Game 4. Penguins defenseman Robert Bortuzzo made his NHL playoff debut in Game 5, replacing injured blueliner Brooks Orpik. Pittsburgh hasnt disclosed the specifics of Orpiks injury and he is questionable for tonight. Jeremy Lamb Jersey . LOUIS - Two-thirds of the St.BOSTON - The Boston Bruins lost the game to the New York Islanders 3-2 and then waited to find out how long they will be without their captain and No. 1 defenceman, Zdeno Chara. The 2009 Norris Trophy winner left Thursday nights game in the first period with an undisclosed injury and didnt return. Coach Claude Julien said after the game he had no update, but inside the Boston locker room, Charas teammates seemed resigned to a long absence.Hes a presence in all aspects of the game, said Bruins forward Chris Kelly, who scored to cut a two-goal deficit in half midway through the third period. Hes a captain for a reason. Hes played in 1,000 games. Were going to miss him.Former Bruins backup Chad Johnson stopped 30 shots, and Kyle Okposo scored the go-ahead goal in the second period to help New York snap a two-game losing streak. Frans Nielsen and Cal Clutterbuck also scored for the Islanders.Milan Lucic added goals for Boston. Niklas Svedberg, making his third start as Vezina Trophy-winner Tuukka Rask got the night off, made 35 saves. The Bruins played the Canadian national anthem and observed a moment of silence in memory of the soldier who was killed at the war memorial in Ottawa on Wednesday. The team also played a highlight video for former Bruins defenceman Johnny Boychuk, a member of the 2011 Stanley Cup champion team who was traded to the Islanders on the eve of the season. He belatedly realized the cheering was for him, flashed a smile, and finally took off his glove and waved to the crowd.Johnson served as Rasks backup last season.I think both those guys were excited to come back, Clutterbuck said. Obviously, they loved their time here and you can kind of feel the love for Johnny Boychuk out there.Chara collided with Islanders captain John Tavares midway through the first, then played one more shift that ended with 8:04 remaining in the period. There wass no outward indication of an injury at that time. Cody Zeller Jersey. The team didnt elaborate on why Chara didnt return to the bench at the start of the second period except to confirm that it was an injury. The 6-foot-9 Slovakian, a third-round pick of the Islanders in 1996, spends more time on the ice than any other Bruins player.Hes not just big in stature; hes a leader out there, fellow Bruins defenceman Dennis Seidenberg said. He takes up a lot of space in the defensive zone. Hes the biggest part of this team.Julien said he wouldnt have an update until doctors have a chance to look at Chara. When you lose your captain and one of your better defencemen, theres no doubt its going to have an effect on your team, the coach said. Youre going to lose guys during the season; those things happen. How you react to it and how you respond is whats important. The Islanders had a goal waved off in the first few minutes for goalie interference, but that barely slowed them down. They made it 1-0 six minutes into the game when Nielsen got to a puck in the crease and made a one-handed reach with his stick to tip it in.Lucic crashed the net for his first goal of the season to make it 1-1 near the end of the first, then Okposo made it 2-1 just 90 seconds into the second period.Clutterbuck gave New York a 3-1 lead midway through the second before the Bruins mounted sustained pressure in the Islanders zone in the third and cut the deficit to one on Kellys rebound with 10:11 remaining.NOTES: Tavares entered the night tied for the NHL scoring lead with three goals and seven assists. ... The Islanders are 4-1 against the Bruins in their last five games. ... Seth Griffith assisted on Lucics goal one game after earning his first NHL point with a goal against San Jose. ...
